Early Morning Run

Early morning run.

I love it but I hate it.

I have to force myself to do it but I’m always glad I did.

It’s hard to make yourself get up early and hit the road. It doesn’t get any easier no matter how often you do it. The dragging yourself out of bed part I mean. But the running will get easier and more enjoyable the more you do it.

Because I do it before breakfast (which I always delay and sometimes skip anyway) this is my fasted cardio. And because its fasted it will help me to burn off any unwanted bodyfat. And it will wake you up way more than that big cup of coffee that most of us have to kickstart the day.

I keep it short just around 2 miles, sometimes I take the dogs over on the field and I even get a few hill sprints in. It’s a great way to start the day and it always energises me for the day ahead.
